The bronze is 19th or early 20th century; the malachite veneered bases are later 20th century additions. Both elements of the standard immediately below the candle arms are replacements. Scattered instances of surface repair and re-gilding to several of the candle arms, some of which are slightly warped out of shape. Malachite veneered bases are heavily repaired. Surface wear to the gilt bronze throughout in the form of nicks, scratches and areas of oxidation.
